Bright Lights Awards, Volunteering & Your Say on 2027 Venue!

Bright Lights in Action: A Member’s Story of Shared Impact The Bright Lights Awards, presented annually by AFHTO, are more than just accolades; they’re catalysts for change across Ontario’s primary care landscape. In Fall 2023, the Dufferin Area Family Health Team (DAFHT) received the Spotlight Award for their innovative partnership with North Peel & Dufferin Community Legal Services (NPDCLS). Together, they launched a clinic to help patients with disabilities apply for the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP). Their success didn’t stop there. Inspired by DAFHT’s model, the Couchiching Family Health Team (CFHT) began building their own clinic. With support from DAFHT, the Community Legal Clinic of Simcoe, Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, and NPDCLS, CFHT is now preparing to launch its own Application Assistance Clinic. This is the power of the Bright Lights awards- sparking innovation, spreading impact, and strengthening care.

We know you’re not in it for recognition (but wouldn’t it be nice?) Submit a Bright Lights nomination today! This year, you have even MORE chances to win, with new categories. Awards include: NEW! Bright Lights Individual Impact Awards: Celebrate individuals who go above and beyond in supporting their teams, patients, and communities Bright Lights […]
