Effective September 26, 2020, ALL employers in Ontario must ensure workers and essential visitors complete the “COVID-19 Screening Tool for Workplaces” (the Screening Tool) prior to entering the premises.
This requirement was created by:
- Ontario regulation 364/20 under the Reopening Ontario Act, which requires employers to comply with advice, recommendations and instructions issued by the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health (the “OCMOH), and
- The OCMOH which created the Screening Tool and issued a recommendation for employers to implement the Screening Tool in their workplaces.
