Ontario declares second state of emergency
“In response to a doubling in COVID-19 cases over the past two weeks, the real and looming threat of the collapse of the province’s hospital system and alarming risks posed to long-term care homes as a result of high COVID-19 transmission rates, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and other health experts, is immediately declaring a second provincial emergency under s 7.0.1 (1) of the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act (EMPCA).”

SGFP member survey
The OMA Section on General & Family Practice (SGFP) is seeking input from all family physicians and general practitioners. The purpose of this survey is to provide information and gain feedback from the SGFP to better understand its member’s priorities. Your input will help them better understand your views, which will enable them to advocate on your behalf. Please take 5-10 minutes out of your busy schedule to complete the survey. As the open survey format is being used, you will need to fully complete the survey in one sitting.
Note: the content of the survey has been developed by SGFP, MIG and Fora leadership and is not reflective of the ongoing 2021 PSA discussions with the Government. Due to the timing of this survey, the SGFP will not be sharing survey results with its members at this time.
