Looking for a ‘lighter’ version of leadership training? AFHTO, together with LEADS Canada, will be offering an online introduction to the LEADS Framework Domains for our member leaders. Delivered through five ninety-minute webinars spread out over 15 weeks, this session will be available to FHT & NPLC EDs/Admin Leads, senior administrative staff, board chairs, NPLC Clinical Lead NPs and FHT Lead MDs. *Please note this is a separate leadership opportunity from the recently announced LeaderShift program. LeaderShift is a cross sectoral initiative, whereby participants attend a five-day, in person learning series and obtain LEADS Certification. Is LEADS “Leadership LITE” for you? Practical Leadership Training – The LEADS webinar series is designed to be a hands-on practical introduction to the 5 Domains of the LEADS Leadership model. It is designed primarily be a stand-alone offering that requires no previous knowledge or exposure to the LEADS Framework. It also will be able to support further growth and exploration for those who may have taken, or are anticipating taking, additional LEADS Learning Series. Customized to Primary Care – The program is designed around the 5 LEADS Framework Domains (Lead Self, Engage Others, Achieve Results, Develop Coalitions, Systems Transformation). The content is customized to allow participants to learn and apply aspects of the various domains, that are immediately and directly applicable to their work environments. The customization is enabled through conversations and focus groups prior to the program delivery. Collaborative Approach – Each week the webinar will cover the pertinent content for the respective domain through a combination of teaching and interaction with the group. The participants will create an action plan to take away and execute between the webinars and will have the support of a learning partner(s) to call on as they do so. Each webinar will start with a check in on how things have gone relative to the action plans created out of the previous webinar. Applicability – By the end of the program, participants will have a strong understanding of the LEADS Framework domains and have had some experience in practical application of their learnings in their real-world environments. Program Details The 1st cohort for the program will commence on Tuesday March 27th. The cohort will have a maximum of 30 participants. Depending on interest and demand, additional cohorts may be offered. Applicants who are not accepted into the program will go onto a waiting list and will be notified if a space becomes available, or if a 2nd cohort is to be offered.

Eligibility This program is intended for Executive Directors, Administrative Leads, Senior Administrative Staff, Lead NPs/MDs, and Board Chairs. Consider taking this leadership program as a TEAM! Tuition Fees Tuition for the LEADS “Leadership LITE” is fully subsidized by AFHTO; there is no fee for participants. Cancellation Policy We anticipate high interest in this program, and there may be a waiting list. In the event you need to withdraw from the program, please notify us in writing at bryn.hamilton@afhto.ca as soon as possible so we may offer your space to a participant on the waiting list. There is no cancellation penalty if we receive written notification that you are withdrawing from the program up to five (5) business days prior to the start date. For cancellations received after that time a $100 invoice will be issued. Consideration will be given to emergency situations. Questions?
