| Invitation to Ontario SPOR SUPPORT Unit Patient Partnership Day (March 22nd 2018) The Ontario Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) SUPPORT Unit (OSSU) would like to invite your patients to attend their 2018 Patient Partnership Day on Thursday, March 22nd 2018 in Toronto. This is a day dedicated to learning from patients, family members and caregivers about the role they can play in health research and its impacts in Ontario. The day will run from 10.00am until 3.00pm and will include breakfast and lunch on site.During the day we will hear from patient partners in health research in Ontario (including the Government of Ontario’s Patient and Family Advisory Council Lead, Julie Drury – a caregiver with a lot of experience of research and health care) and engage in active discussions with all participants on how the health research system in Ontario can benefit most effectively from patient partners in the future. The event is free, and patients, family members and caregivers will have expenses covered for the day. For patients, family members or carers travelling from outside the GTA, hotel rooms will be available for the night of the 21st March. When signing up, OSSU will reach out to you by email with details on expenses, travel and accommodation. |
