Getting even better than we were yesterday, no matter how good we already are. Here are some concrete steps to move beyond measurement to improvement, based on the wisdom of AFHTO’s own IHPs. Did you use the Program Performance Measures Catalogue in preparing your AOP submission? You can make it more useful by sharing your completed Schedule A templates and sending us your feedback. Keeping patients at the centre of quality measurement: There is no question this is hard to do – and so far, nearly 150 patients have completed a patient priorities survey . It is not an easy survey but some of your patients may still welcome the chance to make their voices heard. Aussi disponible en Français! For more information about what’s in the survey and why, check out our Frequently Asked Questions. Is there something your team has gotten better at? Can others learn from what you’ve done (even if it is what NOT to do!)? Submit an abstract to the AFHTO 2017 Conference by May 8th. Help for treatment-resistant depression: Do you have older patients whose depression has not responded to medication? Want to participate in research to help find the best care for them? Coming soon: Your chance to work with AFHTO and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health on new research into what works best for these patients. Watch this space for more details. Save the date! QIDSS KTE on program planning – Tuesday, June 13th at the YMCA Toronto Central. Travel support is available if needed. Registration opens soon! Wondering how to help your patients get active? We’re planning a phone meeting tomorrow to talk about if and how to support a Community of Practice to promote physical activity in primary care. All interested clinicians are welcome. Let us know if you’d like an invite.
