Dear EDs/Admin Leads, Lead Clinicians and Board Chairs,

Thank you for participating in today’s webinar on advocating for Ontario’s community health sector. We appreciate your commitment to supporting our mission to close the wage gap in community care and address the critical health human resources crisis in our sector.

As discussed, we have developed a comprehensive toolkit to help you engage in grassroots advocacy to support our #ForUsForYou campaign. We urge you to share these tools with your networks and use them in your local advocacy efforts. Below, you’ll find a summary of the resources included in the toolkit and how to use them effectively.

You can download the toolkit here.

Advocacy Toolkit Contents:

  1. Key Messages: Tailor these messages to your organization and local context to communicate the urgency of our cause.
  2. Template Meeting Request: Use this template to set up meetings with your local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP).
  3. Form Letter: Send this letter to your MPP to highlight the wage gap and advocate for necessary changes.
  4. One-Pager: A concise document summarizing the sector’s critical wage gap and proposed solutions, ideal for meetings and handouts.
  5. Office Poster: Display this poster in your office to raise awareness among staff and visitors.
  6. Social Media Posts: Share these posts on your social media platforms to spread the word and garner public support.

How You Can Participate:

Your collective efforts are crucial in ensuring that Ontario’s elected officials understand the urgency of addressing the wage gap in the community health sector. Together, we can make a significant impact and drive meaningful change in the lead-up to the 2025 Ontario Budget.
