Guelph FHT – On May 4th, Guelph FHT held its 2nd Green Health Day, bringing awareness to the connection between climate change and community and individual health. The FHT is currently working on five core green health initiatives including: Mask recycling, battery reuse, exam table paper reduction, metered dose inhaler alternatives and virtual care. This May 4th we had 10 Guelph FHT sites participate and 3 community partners (Hamilton FHT, Guelph CHC, and Guelph General Hospital). We received 29 submissions from teams and individuals doing their part to combat climate change and had our Climate Change poster and Healthy Planet Prescription shared city wide. Mike Schreiner, MPP, also visited one of our clinic sites to show his support. Click here to learn more about the Guelph FHT Green Council and download resources.
