On July 11, Primary Care Program, Ontario Health sent out a call for expression of interests in Primary Care Information Exchange (PCIE) Limited Production Release (LPR). The original deadline (originally July 26) has now been extended to August 11, 2023. Please see below for further information from OH:
Call for Expression of Interest: Primary Care Information Exchange (PCIE) Limited Production Release (LPR)
“Ontario Health has been actively engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders across the province the last few months to identify the most effective approaches for facilitating the flow of primary care data in Ontario from local EMRs to the provincial EHR.
Ontario Health is pleased to share this Call for Expression of Interest for primary care participants in the PCIE LPR. We are preparing for an LPR by March 31, 2024, and beginning clinical engagement to develop the functional details of how patient data will flow from EMRs and how it will be consumed in other clinical settings. We look forward to working closely with the primary community over the following years to implement PCIE in a way that benefits patients, practitioners, and the health care system.”

e-Ordering Limited Production Release (LPR)
“Ontario Health is pleased to share this Call for Expression of Interest for primary care participants in the e-Ordering Limited Production Release (LPR). The e-Ordering LPR will be focused on the use and evaluation of the digitized OHIP lab requisition form, available through the Ontario Laboratories Information System’ Mobile Order & Result Entry (OLIS-MORE) application. Ontario Health is working in collaboration with the eHealth Centre of Excellence and OntarioMD to seek input from participating primary care providers to inform the rollout of the digitized OHIP lab requisition form to the broader healthcare provider community in Ontario.
Primary care providers are invited to submit an expression of interest as a participant of the e-Ordering LPR.”

Market Salary Review Survey
The market salary review survey closed on May 26th, 2023. AFHTO members had an excellent participation rate, with 42% of members responding to the survey. Eckler, a third-party consultant, is currently analyzing the results and will be sharing a draft report with AFHTO in August. AFHTO recently reaffirmed its commitment to share the market salary review report with MOH when it’s completed. We understand the significant recruitment and retention issues being faced by the sector and this data will be central to our call on government for greater salary alignment across sectors.
