Communique includes:
- For employees laid off March 15, 2020 and receiving CERB, Employers:
- can top up an employee’s CERB payment to a maximum of $1,000 for the 4 week period covered by the CERB payment (“month”)
- are not required to have a registered Sub Plan to top up CERB to a maximum of $1,000 per month
- Cannot use a registered Sub Plan to pay more than $1,000 per month to an employee receiving CERB
