Every year the administration group is one of the largest IHP sessions, but there currently is no volunteer to lead this breakout. Online suicide prevention healthcare modules reaccredited “Suicide: Facing the Difficult Topic Together – Empowering Physicians and nurses, Instilling Hope in Patients” is a free accredited online module sponsored by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention. It seeks to provide healthcare providers with key information on suicide risk assessment, intervention, safety planning and available tools and resources. The programs were developed for and by family physicians and nurses in consultation with suicide prevention experts. Also available in French. |

Ministry of Health and related news Availability and Funding of Epinephrine Auto-Injectors: in response to ongoing shortages of EpiPen® (0.3mg) and EpiPen Jr.® (0.15mg), Health Canada has approved through an Interim Order (IO) the importation into Canada of AUVI-Q® epinephrine auto-injectors. Temporary interim funding of the AUVI-Q® 0.3mg auto-injector is now approved for Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) recipients through the Allergen Program for patients, where EpiPen® products are not available due to supply shortage, in discussion with their healthcare provider / prescriber effective Sep. 6, 2018.
