Perceptions of mutual respect and collaboration in interprofessional teams

“A significant positive correlation was discovered between mutual respect and collaboration among interprofessional team members working in CHCs and FHTs throughout Ontario.”

In April a Walden University doctoral student  was seeking input for a research study on mutual respect and collaboration in interprofessional team settings. Dr. Brenda Lankhof has now provided us with a summary of results and we’re currently seeking the full study as well.

Nominate a partner or healthcare inspiration for an AFHTO Board award by Aug. 23

This is a reminder to all EDs and Administrative Leads- help the AFHTO board select the recipient of Board Bright Lights Award!

For the first time ever, the board is seeking your help. The Board award recognizes an individual (or a group) who is not an AFHTO member but has significantly contributed to the development and growth of team-based primary care within their local community or at the provincial level.

The winner(s) will receive their award(s) during the Bright Lights Awards Ceremony at the AFHTO 2018 Conference on Oct. 24, 2018.

Submit a nomination for the Board Award category to info@afhto.ca by August 23, 2018.

Ontario Physiotherapy Association call for abstracts

Ontario Physiotherapy Association is seeking abstracts for InterACTION, their annual conference which will be held in Toronto, April 5-6, 2019. They especially welcome from interprofessional health care teams and other health care providers. Submissions can be completed on their website. Deadline Sep. 10, 2018.
