AFHTO Staffing Announcements

Thank you Greg!
After nearly 4 years of supporting QIDSS across the province in building a culture of measurement, Greg Mitchell is leaving AFHTO. Greg’s departure is part of the Board’s efforts to shift AFHTO’s focus beyond measurement to improvement. The QIDS program is therefore reorienting around a clinical focus. But with limited budget, something has to give. Fortunately, he leaves the state of measurement in primary care in very good shape.

Greg’s legacy includes the leadership and productivity of the small but mighty group of QIDSS known as the Algorithm Project Team and the high and sustained participation of members in D2D. Another aspect of his legacy that will continue to flavour the work of AFHTO for years to come is his passion for food and travel, preferably both at the same time. In fact, he’s off to pursue both passions in a trip of a lifetime to the Galápagos! Greg, we appreciate all you’ve done with us and know you’ll continue to be a strong contributor to quality in Ontario’s precious healthcare system. Thanks for everything and best wishes!

Welcome Laura (again!)
We’re pleased to welcome Laura Belsito to a continuing role with the QIDS team. Laura joined the team on contract last year as a Clinical Knowledge Translation and Exchange specialist. As a registered dietitian, she will be continuing to support clinical change as AFHTO looks to move beyond measurement to improvement. In particular, she’ll co-support the newly formed Interprofessional Healthcare Providers Advisory Council and various communities of practice emerging as teams collaborate more and more to improve clinical outcomes.

Welcome Natalie!
We’re pleased to welcome Natalie Gennaro to the AFHTO Team as our new Events and Administrative Assistant. Natalie has varied administrative and event planning experience, mostly recently working as an office administrator with a textile fashion and accessory company and as the Event Supervisor for the Toronto Marketing Co. She is a graduate of the George Brown College Special Events Planning Program and is also certified through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada as a certified wedding planner.
