Board chair leadership council launchedAFHTO is pleased to announce the establishment of the Board Chair Leadership Council. This platform has been created to enable FHT & NPLC board chairs to collaboratively identify and raise governance issues, as well as advance knowledge transfer across the province for governance best practices. Members of the Council will be reaching out to other FHT& NPLC board chairs in their region, to seek input, to encourage collaborative governance, and to articulate the collective perspectives of boards in their constituencies. | RNs can now complete the entire ODSP application The Ministry of Community and Social Services has announced that, to make the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) more accessible, RNs in the general class can now complete the entire application.Read the memo here.

| The underappreciated burden of influenza amongst Canada’s older population The inaugural white paper from the National Institute on Ageing discusses why older adults are more vulnerable to influenza, the steps some are taking to better prevent older adults from getting it and proposes 8 policies to reduce the risk of influenza among our older population.
