NEW RESOURCES: Physician Orientation Toolkit + Case Studies on Fostering FHT-Physician Teamwork

We are excited to share with you the following two documents, developed to support AFHTO leadership and promote information-sharing across teams:

Physician Orientation Toolkit:

This toolkit provides easy access to a comprehensive collection of tools, resources and templates that will help orient new physicians to the FHT. Developed in partnership with The Osborne Group and a small working group comprised of AFHTO member EDs and physician volunteers.

Fostering FHT-Physician Teamwork – Case Studies:

These studies showcase a variety of approaches teams use to foster FHT-physician partnerships and support team harmonization in a way that benefits both sides. It includes several templates and documents that FHTs may use, adapt or alter to meet their own team needs. Developed in partnership with Lough Barnes Consulting. Both documents were developed in response to requests from members for help in equipping physicians for leadership and strengthening FHT-physician partnerships. We are grateful to the AFHTO member teams, EDs, and physicians who supported the development of these tools by participating in the case studies and being a part of the Physician Orientation Toolkit working group. We hope that you will find them both to be valuable resources.
