Data to Decisions eBulletin #58: Working Collaboratively to Improve Care

UPDATE on treatment-resistant depression study: If you have older patients with depression who are not responding well to treatment, you can participate in a study that will help you help them get better outcomes, while also contributing to knowledge about the best way to address this problem. Register here for a webinar on June 8. You may also want to consider being part of a depression-specific IDEAS cohort. Get Moving! AFHTO members attending the physical activity day in March are now getting moving on a new clinical community of practice for ANYONE interested in supporting physical activity. They are already accumulating resources to share  and will likely be getting together again at the AFHTO conference. Watch here or contact AFHTO for more information. Let’s hear even more from the patients! Even though it was challenging, nearly 250 patients responded to our second-ever Patient Priorities questionnaire. Whether or not yours were among them, consider partnering up with us to host a patient focus group to deepen our insights and improve the process. QIDS Specialists, QIDSS-likes, and other QI professionals: Don’t forget to register for our June 13 KTE on Program Planning and Quality Improvement. Some travel support is available. Registration opens up for everyone after May 15. Check out our FAQ or contact us for details. Don’t forget to share your completed Schedule A templates for the Program Performance Measures Catalogue. Many of your peers, who are seeing the value of getting a refreshed catalogue sooner and being able to reach out to one another, are doing this. Thanks! Still wondering what the catalogue can do for you, and how sharing your template will help make it better? Here’s a great example from the Occupational Therapists network: “OTs are working together to compile evidence to evaluate the measures for our priority programs (e.g., Falls Prevention and Chronic Pain) and then choose ones that are evidence-based and accurately reflect our contribution to the team. Then we’ll encourage all our teams to use these measures in future Schedule A submissions and keep sharing their templates with AFHTO.”
