• Apply to join the Ontario Quality Standards Committee: Health Quality Ontario is seeking membership nominations. Expression of interest due Apr. 10, 2017.

• IDEAS Advanced Learning Program now accepting applications: the aim is to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, practical skills and tools to lead quality improvement initiatives that improve patient care, experience and outcomes. Deadline May 15, 2017.

• Primary Care Focus on Low Back Pain: updated version of online course developed by Centre for Effective Practice now available. It has been certified for up to four Mainpro Plus credits.

• Development of a Gluten Free Food Guide for Children: Dr Mager PhD RD and colleagues at the University of Alberta are currently conducting a web-based survey eliciting feedback regarding the development of a Gluten Free Food Guide for Children. The purpose is to get feedback from Health Professionals to inform guide content. All responses are confidential and survey participation is voluntary. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Liu at agliu@ualberta.ca.

• Free Board Self-Assessment Tool: the Governance Centre of Excellence (GCE) has made their 2017 Board Self-Assessment Tool available from now through June 2, 2017. Please see their FAQ for more information. If your board is ready to complete the self-assessment, contact Katy Miller at GCE to make the necessary arrangements.

• Submit an abstract for Ontario Community Support Association (OCSA) conference: submission deadline Apr. 13 for the October conference.
