Make Your Voices Heard- Compensation Campaign Resources & Strategic Plan Input

2017 COMPENSATION CAMPAIGN

“Investing in Interprofessional Primary Care Teams”

Thank you to those who attended the webinar on January 25, 2017 to learn more about the 2017 Compensation Campaign and what you can do to ensure we get a commitment in the 2017/18 provincial budget for an additional $130 million annualized, with an implementation plan over 2 years, so that interprofessional primary care teams can effectively retain and recruit staff. For those who were unable to attend the webinar, a copy of the slide deck and a recording of the presentation are now available.

All the tools mentioned during the webinar, including the petition, electronic letter and sample tweets, are also available to you to start your team and individual advocacy action. To get a more comprehensive overview, including additional resources, please visit this page.

Remember to send copies of your petitions and Board letters to AFHTO so we can collect them to prepare for further meetings or formulate a media strategy if necessary. And let us know what you are doing in your teams by sharing your stories or pictures – we will share them in AFHTO communiques so other FHTs and NPLCs are motivated by your action!

As always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us at info@afhto.ca. Thank you to everyone once again for providing exceptional primary care to our patients in our communities.

Strategic Planning – Your Input Needed

AFHTO is undergoing a strategic planning process and we need to hear from you, our members, to help guide the selection of our strategic priorities for the next 3 to 5 years. Given the current environment and future implications for primary care, now more than ever, we need to hear where we should be focusing our attention. Please complete this short survey by February 3, 2017 – it should take no more than 10 minutes of your time.

If you aren’t currently on our mailing list and would like to receive the latest relevant news and updates, please email us at info@afhto.ca.
