Closing Plenary- Empowering Primary Care Teams: The AI Advantage

This talk will review key milestones that led to today’s “AI Hype”, describe the tasks that AI can currently support in a primary care context, and propose outcomes that effective AI use could enhance.

And joining our opening plenary, Terrence Ho. Amy Coupal, CEO of the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO) and caregiver, Terrence Ho shine a light on the challenges caregivers face when they care for a family member, partner, friend, or neighbour. Find out more.

 

 


Update on expansion of the OBSP to people ages 40 to 49

Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) is pleased to announce that the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP) will be expanding to offer breast cancer screening to people ages 40 to 49 on October 8, 2024. As part of expansion, people ages 40 to 49 will be able to self-refer to the program. 

In preparation for this change, several resources have been developed for primary care clinicians.  (Download EN and FR here.)

News and updates including national dementia guidelines for disclosing a diagnosis


Join Ontario Health’s Primary Care Quality Advisory Committee

Ontario Health is inviting a Primary Care Administrator of a Family Health Team and a Primary Care Measurement and Data Expert to join their advisory committee to contribute important feedback and perspectives to their work in improving quality of care in primary care across Ontario.

Co-chairs: Dr. Elizabeth Muggah and Dr. David Kaplan

Membership: Primary care and Quality Improvement experts across the province and internal Ontario Health stakeholders

Time commitment: meetings are approximately 2 hours, with a maximum of 3 meetings per year.

Location: Virtual meetings
