Free training series on managing workplace stress

CMHA Ontario’s Your Health Space program invites you to a FREE training series on managing workplace stress in health care settings. This series is delivered through self-directed eLearning modules and live, virtual skill-building workshops and explores strategies to mitigate burnout in your workplace. This series:
- Runs from January 8th to March 31st, 2024.
- Is delivered over 12 weeks. It is broken down into three themed courses (4 weeks each) each comprising 2-3 training modules.
- Offers certificates of completion that you can add to your online profiles.
- Uses hybrid learning, combining self-directed online modules and (optional) trainer-led workshops.
- Is exclusively available to health care workers in Ontario.

Greenshield essential medicines program information session Dec. 14

GreenShield’s Essential Medicines Program – their newest Social Impact program offering prescription drug coverage at no cost for individuals between the ages of 25 to 64 living in Ontario who do not have access to private drug plans and are ineligible for public programs (with exception of the Trillium Drug Program). The Essential Medicines program provides ‘the working poor’ prescription drug plans with no drug costs, no deductibles or copays, and no shipping fees and covers up to $1000 of medications on our list of “essential medicines” per 12-month enrolment (patients can reapply every 12 months).

Fantastic Opportunity to Take Over 1000 Patient Roster FHT/FHO Practice at Taddle Creek Family Health Team

Family Doctor opening to take over a well-managed 1000 patient FHT/FHO practice with Taddle Creek Family Health Team. The practice is at Bay and College in a collegial office with a terrific team. There is generous support from 5 other family doctors, a pharmacist, NP, RN, a mental health team with social workers and a consulting psychiatrist, a dietician, and a full-time diabetes education program. There are regular clinical meetings to provide resources and learning opportunities to engage and support all team members. Family physicians offer some back up cross coverage for time off. The practice could be managed in 5-6 half days, quickly scaled up to a larger practice if desired, combined with other medical interests or raising a family.
